The 2025 season was a write-off for Reichert, lost entirely to an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. Now, at last, she’s playing again.

“It was a really tough year, not being able to play at all in 2025,” Reichert told Olympics.com in Warsaw. “But I’m just super happy and proud to be back now. It’s so much fun playing again, playing 3×3 — I’m trying to enjoy every second.”

Germany arrive in Poland with a refreshed roster from the 2024 squad. Britta Daub, Ama Degbeon, and Laura Zolper make up the squad alongside Reichert, with Degbeon and Zopler the sole members to have played at last year’s World Cup, where Germany finished 11th.

“It makes me even more proud to keep representing Germany, and I’m trying to win as many more games as possible,” Reichert said. “We’re a new squad now, a new team, but the goal is to win another medal here at the World Cup.”

XIANTAO (China) – China (CHN) put together a dominant unbeaten run to capture the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series Xiantao 2026 title on July 5, defeating top seeds Ulaanbaatar Amazons (MGL) 20-14 in the Final.

Powered by a spectacular performance from MVP Li Wenxia and backed by a passionate home crowd, China claimed their first FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series stop victory of the 2026 season in style.

The Final

The championship game lived up to its billing as a clash between two heavyweights. Ulaanbaatar Amazons came out firing and grabbed an early 4-1 lead in a physical opening. However, China gradually found their rhythm, with Yang Hengyu drilling a two-pointer to put the hosts ahead 8-7 midway through the contest.

From there, the momentum belonged entirely to China. Yang continued her scoring spree as the hosts built an 11-7 advantage before stretching the lead to 14-8 as Ulaanbaatar Amazons entered the penalty. Another clutch two-piece from Yang made it 16-11 with less than three minutes remaining and China never looked back, cruising to a memorable 20-14 victory. Yang Hengyu finished with a game-high 10 points in the title-clinching win.

Road To The Final

China looked every bit the championship favorite throughout the tournament. They opened pool play with a commanding 21-4 victory over Sukhbaatar (MGL) before defeating Takasaki (JPN) 21-12 to sweep Pool B and secure a direct berth in the Quarter-Finals.

The hosts continued their impressive form on Day 2, racing to an early lead and eventually defeating New Zealand (NZL) 19-13 in the Quarter-Finals. They then punched their ticket to the Final with a convincing 21-11 win over Manila (PHI), with Li Wenxia catching fire from beyond the arc and scoring 10 points.

Ulaanbaatar Amazons were equally dominant en route to the Final. The top seeds opened their campaign with emphatic victories over fellow Mongolian sides Amgalan (MGL), 21-5, and Manila, 22-5, to top Pool A.

They then defeated Philippines (PHI) 21-10 in the Quarter-Finals before surviving a stern challenge from Thailand (THA) in the Semi-Finals. Amari Robinson scored 10 points as Ulaanbaatar Amazons escaped with an 18-16 victory to book another appearance in the Final.

Thailand secured third place after an impressive tournament run that included wins over New Zealand and Mongolia in pool play and a Quarter-Finals triumph over Takasaki.

MVP

The FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series Xiantao 2026 MVP honor went to China’s Li Wenxia after a sensational all-around tournament. Li led the competition in player value (52.4), rebounds (32), highlights (28) and key assists (19), while also finishing third in scoring with 29 total points. She saved her best for Day 2, dominating in China’s Semi-Finals victory over Manila and playing a pivotal role throughout the hosts’ title-winning run.
