TORONTO (September 15, 2026) – Canada Basketball announced today the 3×3 U23 Women’s National Team roster that will represent Canada at the FIBA 3×3 U23 World Cup 2026 in Wuhan, China, taking place September 15-19.

Canada earned its spot in the tournament after going undefeated at the FIBA 3×3 Youth Nations League – Americas South in July.

The Canadian roster features Mary-Anna Asare (Pickering, Ont.), Cyanne Coe (Bolton, Ont.), Hailey Franco-Deryck (Etobicoke, Ont.) and Myriam Koné (Edmonton, Alta.). Asare, Coe and Franco-Deryck competed at the Youth Nations League in July, with Coe and Franco-Deryck helping Canada secure its World Cup berth. Koné will make her 3×3 debut after attending Senior Women’s National Team training camps in Montreal and Victoria this summer.

3×3 Senior Women’s National Team member Katherine Plouffe will serve as the team’s consultant.

Canada enters the tournament as the 18th seed and has been drawn into Pool B alongside Netherlands, Czechia, Poland and Chinese Taipei.

The Canadians will open pool play on September 15 against Czechia at 10:00 p.m. ET before facing Poland at 12:55 a.m. ET. Canada returns to action on September 17 against Chinese Taipei at 10:25 p.m. ET and Netherlands at 12:30 a.m. ET.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Oregon guard Katie Fiso has been selected to the 2026 USA 3×3 Women’s U23 National Team that will compete at the 2026 FIBA 3×3 U23 World Cup from Sept. 15-19 in Wuhan, China, USA Basketball announced on Wednesday.
 
Fiso will join three other Division I athletes in McKinna Brackens (Arizona State), Dani Carnegie (Georgia) and Tori McKinney (Minnesota), who together won the 2026 FIBA 3×3 Nations League Americas North Conference in Ñuñoa, Chile in July. The quartet will be reunited under head coach Todd Monsey.
 
In May, Fiso participated in USA Basketball’s 3×3 Developmental camp in Phoenix and the subsequent USA Basketball 3X Showcase in Mesa, Arizona. Fiso and teammates Carnegie and McKinney took home the 3X Showcase title. Fiso was also part of USA’s gold-medal winning team at the 2022 FIBA 3×3 U18 Women’s World Cup.
 
Fiso is coming off a breakout sophomore campaign in which she led the Ducks with 15.5 points and 6.2 assists per game, earning her second-team all-Big Ten honors. The Seattle product handed out 222 assists last season, the fourth-highest total in a single season in UO history, while producing a Big Ten-best seven points-assists double-doubles.
 
The USA women will begin play in Pool D on Sept. 16 against Japan at 12:50 a.m. PT, followed by a matchup with Kenya at 5:50 a.m. PT. Pool play will continue Sept. 18 against Slovenia at 2:30 a.m. PT and Australia at 5:25 a.m. PT.
 
Following pool play, the top two teams from each of the four five-team pools will move on to the quarterfinals on Sept. 19.

3×3 is played on a half court with a 10-minute clock and a 12-second shot clock. The first team to 21 points, or the team in the lead at the end of regulation, is the winner.
 

ATLANTA (March 9, 2026) – Atlanta Dream guard Allisha Gray and forward Naz Hillmon have been named to the USA Basketball 3×3 Women’s National Team roster that will compete at the FIBA 3×3 Champions Cup March 13–15 in Bangkok, USA Basketball announced today. 

The United States qualified for the event after winning the 2025 FIBA 3×3 AmeriCup in León, Mexico. Gray and Hillmon will reunite with teammates Shakira Austin and Veronica Burton, as the quartet looks to represent the United States in the tournament’s second edition, the first appearance for the U.S. women’s team. 

Gray played a pivotal role in the AmeriCup championship run, earning tournament MVP honors as the United States secured gold and qualified for the Champions Cup. A gold medalist in 3×3 basketball at the 2020 Olympic Games, Gray continues to be a consistent presence on the international stage. 

Both players are coming off career seasons in 2025 with the Atlanta Dream. Gray was named First Team All-WNBA, finished fourth in MVP voting and made league history by becoming the first guard in WNBA history to win three Player of the Month honors in a single season. 

Hillmon also elevated her game to new heights, earning WNBA Sixth Player of the Year honors while setting the Dream franchise record for most consecutive games played. She delivered the best statistical season of her career across the board, providing a versatile and energetic presence in the frontcourt.  

Pool play for the Champions Cup begins March 13, with the United States opening against Madagascar (10:20 a.m. ET) before facing the Netherlands (7:30 a.m. ET) and Australia  (9:30 a.m. ET) on March 14. The top two teams from each pool advance to the semifinals, with the tournament concluding March 15.  

The FIBA 3×3 Champions Cup features eight teams per gender, including continental champions, World Cup winners, top-ranked nations and host Thailand. The tournament champion will earn direct qualification to the 2027 FIBA 3×3 World Cup and future international 3×3 competitions.

TORONTO (August 28, 2026) – Canada Basketball announced today the roster that will represent Canada at the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series stop in Takasaki, Japan, taking place August 29-30.

Canada enters the tournament as the No. 1 seed and has been drawn into Pool A alongside Netherlands U25 and Yanjing. Round-robin play begins Saturday, August 29, against Netherlands U25 at 2:15 a.m. ET, followed by Yanjing at 6:35 a.m. ET. All games will be streamed live on CBC Gem and FIBA 3×3’s YouTube channel.

Returning to the roster are Paige Crozon, Katherine Plouffe, Merissah Russell and Michelle Plouffe, who returned to 3×3 action at last weekend’s stop in Bangkok after retiring in 2025. Canada advanced to the quarter-finals in Bangkok before falling to Germany to bring its run to an end. Although Canada has fallen short of qualifying for the Women’s Series Final in Shanghai next month, Takasaki gives the Canadians one final opportunity in 2026 to finish the campaign on a high note and add another stop victory to their résumé.

Daniel Ferguson returns as head coach after guiding Canada to a Women’s Series title in Shanghai in May, as well as titles in Edmonton, Bordeaux, and Shanghai in the 2025 Women’s Series season.

TORONTO (Aug. 21, 2026) – Canada Basketball announced Thursday the four athletes who will represent Canada at the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series stop in Bangkok, Thailand, from Aug. 22-23, with three-time Olympian Michelle Plouffe returning to competition for the first time since the 2024 FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series Final.

Plouffe will be joined by Cassandra Brown, Paige Crozon, Katherine Plouffe as Canada continues its push toward the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series Final in Shanghai, China.
Canada enters the final stretch of the regular season sitting 10th in the Women’s Series standings, with the top seven teams, plus the host, advancing to the season-ending Final on Sept. 5-6.

With Canada looking to climb into a qualification position, Plouffe’s return provides the program with one of the most accomplished players in the history of the discipline.

“As we looked at where we are in the Women’s Series standings and what we need to make a push toward Shanghai, Michelle was an option that made a lot of sense for us,” said Steve Baur, Vice-President and General Manager, Women’s High Performance. “She has remained incredibly close to the game and to this group through her role with our program, and over time there have been conversations about what it might look like for her to play again.

“Bangkok gives us an opportunity to add an exceptional player to our group at an important point in the season, while giving Michelle an opportunity to compete again and see how it feels.”

Plouffe announced her retirement from international competition in July 2025 before transitioning into her role as Canada Basketball’s 3×3 Performance Manager.

The Edmonton native was one of the foundational members of Canada’s women’s 3×3 program, helping establish the team as one of the sport’s most consistent international contenders. Alongside Katherine Plouffe and Paige Crozon, she helped build the program from its early days in 2019 before Canada eventually qualified for its first Olympic Games in the discipline.

Plouffe returned from ACL reconstruction in 2024 to help Canada secure its historic Olympic berth at the final FIBA 3×3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Debrecen, Hungary. Canada went on to finish fourth at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Paris marked Plouffe’s third Olympic appearance. She previously represented Canada in five-on-five basketball at the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Her 3×3 résumé also includes back-to-back FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series championships in 2022 and 2023, a silver medal at the 2022 FIBA 3×3 World Cup and gold at the 2022 FIBA 3×3 AmeriCup.

The Bangkok stop is one of the final opportunities for teams to earn points toward qualification for the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series Final in Shanghai.
