The Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) and The Avenues Bahrain have signed a sponsorship and hosting agreement for the 2026 FIBA 3×3 World Tour Manama Masters, extending their partnership for the tournament’s fourth consecutive year in the kingdom.

Signed by BBA Competitions Committee chairman Hassan Yaseen and The Avenues Bahrain executive director Feras Barkaat, the agreement covers the November 20-21 competition at the waterfront shopping and entertainment destination.

Seef Among Provisional 16-Team Field

Bahrain’s Seef are among a provisional 16-team field featuring Serbian sides Ub and Liman, Germany’s Baskets Bonn and Skyliners, China’s Shanghai, Spain’s Barcelona and Canada’s Toronto.

Seeded 14th, Seef recently competed at the FIBA 3×3 Aichi Challenger in Japan, defeating Nagoya 21-11 and Melbourne 22-19 in qualifying before losses to Shanghai and Toronto ended their campaign in the group stage.

Preparations Continue for Manama Masters

Speaking after the signing, Barkaat welcomed the continued partnership and highlighted the tournament’s potential to attract international teams and spectators to Bahrain.

He pointed to the venue’s extensive parking facilities and the Hilton Garden Inn Bahrain Bay hotel, which is directly connected to The Avenues and will accommodate participating teams.

Barkaat said these arrangements would support the smooth running of the competition and encouraged the public to attend, noting that the event would be open to spectators.

Yaseen also welcomed the agreement, highlighting the waterfront setting and facilities as important factors in delivering a successful tournament.

Preparations were previously reviewed at a meeting chaired by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice-President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee and Chairman of the Organising Committee, with officials discussing venue readiness and logistical arrangements.

The Manama Masters follows Bahrain’s hosting of the 2025 World Tour Final, when Serbia’s Ub defeated Lithuania’s Raudondvaris Hoptrans 20-16 to claim the title.
