When the stakes were highest, Kaluderovic delivered. He produced a game-high 14 points in the Semi-Final win over Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy (MGL) before knocking down crucial buckets in the Final, including the title-sealing score in Ub’s 21-19 victory over Liman (SRB).

Across the tournament, Kaluderovic showcased his scoring touch and efficiency, finishing with 32 total points (third overall) while tying for second in two-pointers made with 10.

CHENGDU (China) – The United States prevailed in the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series 2026 Chengdu stop after a hard-fought 20-18 victory over Germany in a dramatic Final on Saturday.

It marked USA’s first FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series stop win since 2024 — and the first for this current roster — as they battled through a stacked field and delivered when it mattered most.

Final recap

The championship game lived up to the hype, with both teams trading blows in a tense, physical contest. Germany leaned on their size advantage early, with Ama Degbeon anchoring the inside presence, while Victoria Poros kept them within striking distance from deep.

USA, however, had the answer in Mikaylah Williams, who delivered a superstar performance with 10 points. With the game hanging in the balance, she knocked down a clutch two-pointer to give USA a late 19-18 lead before Sahara Williams added the insurance tip-in.

Germany had their chances in the closing seconds, but USA held firm to seal the crucial win.

Road to the Final

USA’s path to the title was anything but easy.

They edged past Amsterdam 20-18 in the Quarter-Finals behind a strong showing from Joyce Edwards, before surviving a thriller against Poland in the Semi-Finals, 21-20. In that game, USA showed resilience, with Milaysia Fulwiley delivering the game-winning floater after a back-and-forth battle that went down to the wire.

Germany, meanwhile, were equally impressive. They knocked off Australia 21-16 in the Quarter-Finals, fueled by hot shooting from beyond the arc led by Poros.

In the Semi-Finals, Germany prevailed in an overtime classic against China, 16-15. Marie Reichert delivered the decisive shot, while Degbeon and Zhou Mengyun traded big plays in a tightly contested duel.

Earlier action

The tournament delivered drama from the very start, beginning with an intense qualifying draw.

Host side China advanced after surviving a nail-biter against Warsaw, 17-16, while Brazil powered through Qualifying Draw B with back-to-back wins before bowing out in the Main Draw.

Mikaylah Williams USA was the undisputed star of the tournament, earning MVP honors after averaging 7.6 points per game along with 4.6 rebounds and 4.6 highlights per game. She delivered consistently throughout the event and rose to the occasion in the Final with a clutch scoring display.

Germany’s Marie Reichert and Ama Degbeon were instrumental in their team’s run, while Poland’s Aleksandra Zięmborska continued to shine as one of the most reliable performers on the circuit.

Back where they belong

After falling short in Utsunomiya last weekend, Ub responded like true champions in Chengdu.

They went unbeaten when it mattered most and showed their trademark composure in clutch situations, edging rivals Liman (SRB) in a thrilling Final to secure their first FIBA 3×3 World Tour win of the 2026 Pro Circuit.

When Ub are locked in, they really remain the benchmark.

Kaluderovic’s star shines

Filip Kaluderovic didn’t just win MVP. He announced himself.

From a dominant Semi-Finals performance to clutch buckets in the Final, he proved he could deliver on the big stage. The newest member of Ub displayed scoring consistency and confidence, giving this already strong squad a new dimension.

Ub have long been a powerhouse, of course, but with Kaluderovic stepping up, they certainly look even more dangerous.

Liman are still elite

Fresh off their Utsunomiya win, Liman carried their momentum into Chengdu and once again reached the Final.

They showed resilience, surviving a Quarter-Finals thriller against DeQing (CHN) and controlling their Semi-Finals game against familiar foe Skyliners (GER). Ultimately, however, Liman fell just short against Ub.

Still, this is a squad that is clearly not going anywhere.

Ulaanbaatar continue to rise

Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy (MGL) showed they belong among the elite.

Their comeback win over Antwerp (BEL) and strong showing against Ub in the Semi-Finals highlighted their growth and belief.

With Olympic gold medalist Nauris Miezis now orchestrating play and hitting long toms, this team is no longer just a dark horse. They are a very real threat.

Skyliners prove they’re for real

After their breakout in Utsunomiya, Skyliners backed it up in Chengdu.

Even while rising star Leon Fertig continues his recovery, Skyliners impressed at tha Jiaozi Music Square. They edged Miami (USA) in a Quarter-Finals thriller and reached the Semi-Finals, showing that their quality cannot be overlooked.

With players like Stefan Kojic and Niklas Kropp stepping up, Skyliners are quickly becoming one of the most dangerous teams on tour.

Depth keeps growing

From DeQing pushing Liman to overtime to Shinagawa (JPN) and Bordeaux (FRA) showing flashes, the overall level of competition continues to rise.

There are just no easy games on the FIBA 3×3 World Tour, and that’s exactly what makes it so exciting.

2026 is wide open

Two stops in, and we already have multiple contenders making strong statements.

Ub are back on top, Liman remain consistent, and several emerging teams are closing the gap.

A Seleção Brasileira feminina de basquete 3×3 inicia na próxima semana a sua jornada no Circuito FIBA com a participação no Womens Series de Chengdu, na China, nos dias 1 e 2 de maio, a elite da modalidade olímpica. Para esse desafio, que faz parte de uma verdadeira revolução no esporte no Brasil, a treinadora Elen Rosa convocou a base da equipe que disputou o Pré-Mundial, com Luana Batista, Tainá Paixão, Vitória Moura e Rayane Sant’Anna substituindo Gabi Guimarães.

O grupo viaja no dia 28 de abril, partindo de São Paulo, direto para o Qualidraw da competição na China. A Seleção estreia contra Filipinas e depois pega a Nova Zelândia. Por conta do fuso horário, aqui no Brasil, o primeiro duelo será ainda no dia 30 de abril, às 23h25, e o segundo na madrugada do dia 1 de maio, às 0:25.

Caso avance para a chave principal, o Brasil tem pela frente Austrália e Estados Unidos na fase de grupos, ainda no dia 1 de maio, às 3h25 e 8h15 (já no horário de Brasília). As finais serão no dia 2 de maio, tudo com transmissão ao vivo no YouTube da FIBA 3×3.

Além de Brasil, Austrália, Estados Unidos, Filipinas e Lion City-SGP, jogam a etapa Ulaanbaatar-MGL, Amsterdã-HOL, Polônia, Alemanha, Japão, Filipinas, China, Mongólia, Nova Zelândia, Yanjing-CHN, Warsaw-POL e Beijing-CHN.

O Womens Series reúne seleções e equipes da modalidade, as melhores do mundo. É o torneio principal do Circuito 3×3 feminino da FIBA. A etapa de Chengdu é o início da caminhada em busca de uma colocação na Etapa final em Shanghai, na China, que ainda terá calendário divulgado.

Brasil encerra participação no primeiro Women’s Series 3×3 em Chengdu com experiência internacional

A Seleção Brasileira feminina de basquete 3×3 iniciou sua trajetória no circuito internacional com participação no Women’s Series de Chengdu, na China, mostrando competitividade e evolução diante de algumas das principais potências da modalidade.

O Brasil começou muito bem a competição, ainda na fase inicial, com uma vitória convincente sobre as Filipinas por 17 a 8, demonstrando intensidade defensiva e bom aproveitamento ofensivo. Na sequência, a equipe confirmou o bom momento ao bater a Nova Zelândia por 13 a 11, garantindo a classificação para a fase seguinte.

Com o avanço, o Brasil entrou na disputa do card principal, integrando o Grupo D, ao lado de duas das seleções mais fortes do cenário mundial: Estados Unidos e Austrália.

Na fase de grupos, a equipe brasileira enfrentou grande nível de exigência. No primeiro compromisso, acabou superada pelos Estados Unidos por 21 a 5. Já no segundo jogo, diante da Austrália, o Brasil lutou, mas sofreu novo revés, por 21 a 9, encerrando sua participação na etapa.

Ao fim da campanha, a Seleção Brasileira fechou o torneio com duas vitórias e duas derrotas, somando experiências importantes contra equipes de elite e reforçando seu processo de desenvolvimento no cenário internacional do 3×3.

O próximo compromisso do Brasil no Women’s Series já tem data marcada: a equipe volta à quadra nos dias 18 e 19 de junho, em Baku, no Azerbaijão, dando sequência à sua caminhada no circuito mundial.

O Women’s Series reúne as melhores equipes do mundo no basquete 3×3 feminino e faz parte do calendário oficial da FIBA 3×3. A etapa de Chengdu abre a corrida por uma vaga na fase final, que será disputada em Shanghai, na China.
